Conversation Intelligence
Software that records and analyzes sales calls after they happen, using NLP to surface patterns, objections, and deal risk.
Full definition
Conversation intelligence (CI) refers to a category of software that records sales calls, transcribes them, and uses natural language processing to extract insights — topics discussed, objections raised, competitor mentions, deal risk signals. Major CI vendors include Gong, Chorus.ai, Clari Copilot, and Avoma. CI is architecturally post-call: insights arrive in a dashboard after the call has ended. Real-time coaching tools like Parallax operate during the call rather than after.
